Personal:

I retired from the Army after 26 years of service in 2010.  I moved home to Arizona.  My wife and I are empty nesters.  In 2016 I had stents placed in my heart after discovering coronary artery disease.  Since early 2016 I have lost 30 lbs and got in much better shape.  August 2017 I retired again. We served a mission to Mexico from October 2017 until April 2019.

Today I had more time. I ran outside even though the surfaces are hard. I intended to run 4 miles but then I decided to do a monument run. I hit the Washington monument, the vietnam, Lincoln, Korean War Memorial, Martin Luther King, FDR monument, and the Jefferson Memorial. Distance is another guess. Great run.. Stopped and started the watch a lot. Running time 56:58.

total running time 37:33.  I took it easy since I wanted to see how fast I could do a mile.  I have been really tired so I am not surprised that the results were slower than the last time.  Splits 9:30, 9:34, 7:56, 10:34.

total time 56:14.  I stretched better before running and it was 68 degrees when I left.  It warmed up fast and it struggled at the end.  At the beginning I was purposely trying to slow down and did not feel like I was pushing but then it got to me.
