I retired from the Army after 26 years of service in 2010.  I moved home to Arizona.  My wife and I are empty nesters.  In 2016 I had stents placed in my heart after discovering coronary artery disease.  Since early 2016 I have lost 30 lbs and got in much better shape.  August 2017 I retired again. We served a mission to Mexico from October 2017 until April 2019.

I maxed the PT test.  I did 65 push-ups, 70 sit-ups, and ran the 2 mile with 8 seconds to spare for my age group.  Iw asn't sure if I was ready as I have never been able to lose the weight I gained over the holidays.  I had to push hard on the last quarter mile so I was close to tossing my bucket when I finished.

I took Andrwe to Point Defiance to run with team mates.  I ran the trails for 56 minutes.  I do not know how far I ran but it was around 6 miles.  I was pretty tired because I had worked at the parks appreciate day for almost 1.5 hours before going running.
